As 2017 draws to a close we prepare to wrap up the exhibition of a handful of our Artists and wish them well with their future endeavours or upcoming exhibitions in new spaces.
It has been a privilege and a pleasure to showcase the creations of these inspiring jewellers, join us as we feature, for one last time, their most memorable pieces that have graced our displays since March.
All works by the following Artists will be available in store and online until 4:00pm on Christmas Eve unless stated otherwise. Click on an Artists name to view their collection before the exhibition ends.
It has been an absolute delight to showcase the amazing talent of Amanda Newton. Her awe-inspiring pieces have brought a pop of vibrant colour with her skilled titanium work, the beauty of the finest pearls in the ocean and the mystique of some of the best specimens of moonstone we have ever seen. We will especially miss placing the spectacular pendant " Inception" out on display each day, undoubtedly a work of wearable art that featured front and centre in many of our promotional posts and publications. Amanda's pieces are currently on sale for the remainder of her exhibition which will end on the 11th of December 2017.
Sally Leung of Lyleu Jewellery will be finishing up at Studio 42 on December 24th. Her wonderful, organic style of highly textured and heavily oxidised pieces will be available after her exhibition ends through her own website. It has been a pleasure to showcase her style and to show a darker, more contemporary side to silver.
Monique's collection has been short with just three pieces but most definitely sweet with two beautiful specimens of Australian opal and a stunning black Tahitian pearl. Monique will end her exhibition on December 24th and her pieces are currently marked at 15% off between now and then. Monique has shown us that not all collections have to be large in volume, small run collections that feature quality over quantity can also enjoy their time in the spotlight.
We have thoroughly enjoyed showcasing the work of Healesville's Jacqui McMaster and it was a real pleasure to have her at our opening exhibition earlier this year. Jacqui is a jeweller and Gemmologist. Her unique style and high quality craftsmanship leave us with no doubt that we will be seeing Jacqui's work featured in new exhibitions with new galleries in the future. Jacqui's exhibition will run until December 24th.
Kara's textured vodka rocks collection brought through elements of her architectural background and created an interesting and attractive display. Combined with her super cute mountain peak rings , her pieces showed shape, form and contemporary flair. Kara's exhibition will end on December 24th.
We have been lucky to showcase the exceptional work of the current President of the Gold & Silversmiths Guild, Tim Peel. As owner of Silvermist Studios, a gallery in the gorgeous Yarra Valley, Tim is kept busy creating his gorgeous gallery pieces and custom works using a vast array of techniques, gemstones and finishes. We look forward to stopping by on our travels to see what amazing pieces he has created since finishing up at Studio 42. Tim's work will be on display until December 24th.
